According to rumors from UK newspaper “The Sun” Gwyneth Paltrow and Scarlett Johansson aren’t always getting on. Apparently Scarlett is ‘very demanding’. No word as to how Kate Mara is going on set, but looking forward to leaked pics!!
Unfortunately they are NOT of her (slightly misleading huh?) but here’s a shot from behind the scenes at the upcoming flick! We aren’t even sure what role Kate will be playing, but as soon as details come out, you can expect it to be here.
Kate Mara was recently featured in a fashion blog where her impeccable sense of style and her ability to add ‘va-va-voom’ to a red carpet was celebrated.
Whether she’s front row at Zac Posen looking darling and demure, at a Chanel event dazzling in their latest couture collection, adding some much needed va-va-voom to the red carpet in eye popping body-con, or proving red heads can in fact wear red and get away with it at Sundance, Kate always manages to look cool, calm, and collected. Look and learn.
Some new cast members have been announced for the upcoming Iron Man 2 film, directed by Jon Favreau. Kate Mara and Clark Gregg are both set to join the cast of the film, currently shooting in Manhattan Beach, Calif.
Looking forward to seeing the type of role Kate plays, hopefully a flame haired villain for a change!
The Palm Beach International Film Festival announced its film line up. The festival is running from April 23 to April 27, 2009 in Palm Beach, Florida. Over 110 films will screen at the festival this year. “We’re a little shorter this year, yet we have added more venues, as well as a second weekend featuring the ‘Best of the Fest,” said Emerman.
The film “Stone of Destiny” opens the festival. The film stars Kate Mara, Charlie Cox, Robert Carlyle, Billy Boyd and Ciaron Kelly. It re-tells the true story of four young students who, outwitted the British authorities in their successful attempt to take back the Coronation Stone – Stone of Scone, a beloved symbol of Scottish pride – from Westminster Abbey back to its country of origin.
Also, she is shy. That’s what she says, at least. “Painfully shy. I hated school. The thought of sitting in a room with twenty kids my age and everybody talking freaked me out.” She says she had only one friend growing up. She has trouble in big groups, unless that group is her family. Big family, huge family.
And yet she talks comfortably, confidently, laughing a lot of the time. “Fuck that bitch!” she jokes about competing for roles. She talks about being nervous about her photo shoot since she spent the last month in London, working on a play, thirty nights at the pub. And when she doesn’t know an answer, she doesn’t wiggle away or sidestep or try to meet you halfway. She knocks it down by saying, “I don’t know.” It’s not rude, just honest.
Transsiberian is receiving glowing reviews from numerous critics.
The movie stars Emily Mortimer, Woody Harrleson, Ben Kingsley and of course our lovely Kate Mara.
Deserenews.com had this to say about kate’s performance: “Also, there’s a very good supporting turn from Mara. We’re not sure where her character stands in all this, and the revelation at the end is a good one.”
The movie is quite violent so people be prepared, it’s not for the squeamish!
